Jaw Surgery evaluation moved up.
My proposed surgeon's grandmother died, so my Friday afternoon appointment has been moved to nosebleed early Monday morning. Well, early to me.

(Don't grandmothers know they're supposed to live forever? How dare they die and make everyone so sad!)

But no, seriously, that is sad.

And now I am still waiting on pins and needles. I've been using my time to try to catch up on backed up art cards and such related to the fund raising. For some reason being employed tended to get in the way of such things. But freelancing leaves more room to work on them.

There will be a shirt design very soon.

Have you read Cryptonomicon? You remind me of a specific scene...in a good way, I hasten to add!

No, I have not. I must request it. Would a library have it?

Probably; it's by Neal Stephenson. Quite a good read,

There's an anecdote in it about a wisdom tooth problem a character has. The roots go too far in, causing him constant pain - but they go so deeply the surgery is a scary proposition. It's hilarious (at least it was to me, with my own jaw/dental challenges ;-)

I found the scene excerpted online here: http://media.smays.com/cryptonomicon.htm

Enjoy!

You're exactly right. Grandmothers should live forever! *sniff*
