Front page, ho!
I think I've got my front page looking the way I want it. Lookit!

I'll be feeding my latest LJ post onto the front page. Right now I'm testing for whether or not LJ posts can be trusted to validate.

Cool design :D I love the simplicity of it.

For me "web monkey" shows up in the dots instead of in the white. If I click on web monkey, there's a display error on that page where the far right "find me" bar is stuck very far down on the screen instead of where it's supposed to be. I'm on a mac using firefox 2.0.0.16 I hope this information is useful to you!

What browser, platform, and monitor size are you using? I'm willing to be good money you're using IE 6 with the next size up from 800x600. I'm still debugging for IE, but see how only three people who visit my site use it, I don't consider it a priority.

As I said I'm on a mac using firefox 2.0.0.16 ;) My monitor resolution is 1024 x 768. I tried making the window smaller and bigger to see if that fixed the "webmonkey" being in the dots but it didn't. I have the fonts set to default too so it's not a problem of me making the fonts extra big or something... I'm not sure what the issue is. I hope that info helps!

IE is such a pain ;p I remember when I was setting up my reasonably simple current website design, IE made me want to pull my hair out!

I checked it out to be sure, and there was a variable that was off in the PHP. Thanks! It's a long story how that works, but all it takes is one variable and a lot of cascading style sheets to bump something in the wrong direction. Luckily, all it takes is one variable to fix it ;)

That fixed it all right! It looks awesome :D

I want to learn PHP, is it hard?

Depends. Have you learned any other code-y things?

Well then, PHP is a natural next step :) I would recommend looking through some books at Barnes and Noble before diving in. Read the introductory chapters and such.

I'll totally take a look. Is it really hard though? I'm intimidated!

It's not so bad, I think. It's like English grammar.

What type computer, version and make of browser, and window size are you using?

Windows 2000, Firefox 3, 1024x768

Believe it or not, despite my antiquated system, most webpages look normal on my machine.

It was my fault. I was trying not to go crazy with the divs. Should have listened to my gut in the first place.

Oh, me too! Firefox 2, 1280x1024, linux.

I like the new front page! Bold, but very clean.

I need a screen cap. I can't replicate it over here unless I change the font size.

Sure, I'll just go -- what the, it's fixed! I guess maybe something else you did in the last 5 minutes fixed it?

That's a good design - I like your artwork! Also like your attention to semantics as well as SEO and usability - this makes you a UX soul at heart :-)

Very cool design! The one fault on my moniter is the links at the very bottom of the page, in the white section, are so far to the right that you have to scroll over into an area w/o the design of the rest of the site.

I'm using IE, highest resolution, 1280 or whatever...

Someday I have to get my site up and running again. >_
