Almost at the $6.5k mark! Woo! (But I am still having nightmares.)
Agh, last night I had one of my nightmares where my teeth start randomly falling out. I lost a canine that looked like it had been dunked in battery acid. AGH!!!

So, this morning I thought I should update the thermometer. Yes, it's been awhile, and I apologize. Flu, turning 23, getting engaged, these things have a way of steam-rolling over the rest of your life. But I'm back! And imagine my delight to find we've raised $6,405.13 USD! Holy cow. We might actually make it near $10,000. I honestly did not think such a thing was humanly possible. I am so deeply and truly touched. If I could get that much, I think I could swing it. It's a two-year process. I could get enough for the braces. Provided they don't want to do any grafts or upper jaw widening, it could happen, it could really happen.

I am touched. Best birthday gift a gal could get, knowing so many people care.

I've had those dreams too; they are pretty disturbing. Though not as much as the one where every single one of my girlfriends had a nice, long beard and I was the only one who didn't. I felt so left out.
I hope you are feeling better about the flu.

I read somewhere that dreams about teeth falling out are indicators that you're taking on a lot of things in your life, and that some situations are delicate, and that you're worried about the responsibility. Which may be fitting! I'm not much for dream interpretations, but I have those dreams every so often when I get stressy.

All I can ever think about in the dreams is how much it's going to cost and how much it's going to hurt to get dental implants. It's the most eerie damn thing. I once dreamed that I went scrambling for my insurance card and then started hitting up WebMD for bizarre tooth conditions. IN MY DREAM. I DREAMED THIS.

WOOT for fundraising! The Internet loves you, Rachel! :D

Yay. :)

I'm glad this is working out for you. My 2 cents? Start the treatment ASAP- you've got a head start, and the rest of the money will come.

*cough* Newly engaged. May have to moooooove. I start when I move. That way, I don't lose my "team" of dentist, orthodontist and surgeon. I hate waiting, but that's why I'm eating mush.
